AIYP Final Event!

Our AIYP spring program was successfully showcased on Saturday with all 6 teams presenting their final projects, poster boards and videos!

Our students were able to share what they experienced and created during our 7 sessions with their parents and locals alike, who also got a sneak peek into the interaction that took place on our G+ community!

The gifts and snacks you sent us we greatly appreciated by our AIYP members, each receiving a gift bag with something from every country :)

We would like to thank all of the international students that participated in our spring program. Our students loved watching your videos and reading the content posted, and we're all ecstatic that we could connect with so many students from around the globe, our program couldn't have happened without you. We hope that you have enjoyed it as much as we have!

Content Creation 2

Today, all 6 teams met for our Content Creation 2 session at the Ansan Life-long Learning Center.

Lots of planning, editing and creative decision making was made between 6:30 and 8:00pm. The teams are well on their way to the final presentation, with some teams having finished filming their footage and are in the cutting room as we speak.

Other's are busy planning poster boards and organizing the bits and pieces which will make their presentations shine.

Also, the first overseas package arrived this afternoon from the USA. Everyone is excited to film some unboxing and reaction videos from all of the participating countries. These will be completed alongside the the tasks our partner students will be posting on our community during our final presentation event on Saturday the 11th of June!

Here are some photos from our KOICA trip!

As you can see traffic wasn't the best heading there, but eventually the students that were able to join got to experience the KOICA Global Village.

There they learned a little about what KOICA is and what the Republic of Korea is doing with regard to the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals (also known as SDGs, part of our recent AIYP UNESCO lecture).

The Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was founded in 1991 to address global development issues. Recently, the focus has been shifted toward sustainable development, aligning with the UNESCO  SDGs.

Since the foundation of KOICA, South Korea has participated in many global development projects. The exhibition at the KOICA Global Village showcased some of the recent projects in Laos, Ghana and Paraguay, shown in some of the pictures below.
